Rankings of the “most beautiful bays in the world” have one thing in common: every list looks different. And that’s hardly surprising- one person’s idea of beauty is a wild little cove that barely fits a single yacht, while for someone else it’s a turquoise lagoon straight out of a commercial.
Still, despite all this chaos, there are a few places that show up almost everywhere. And those are exactly the ones we’re talking about today, because you can sail to all of them with us.
The Bay of Kotor is a unique mix of a fjord and the Adriatic Sea. You sail in between mountains that look as if they’re about to slide straight into the water, passing small stone towns that feel like postcards from 50 years ago.
The best time to visit is from June to September.

You can fly directly from Poland to Dubrovnik or Montenegro. If you land in Podgorica, keep in mind that it’s about a two-hour drive to the marinas.
Towering limestone cliffs and paradise-like water colors. Phang Nga Bay looks like something straight out of a movie and is impossible to confuse with anywhere else.
The best time to visit is between November and April, during the dry season.

The best option is to depart from one of the marinas on Phuket, where you’ll find a good selection of boats and very convenient logistics from the airport.
As for flights, direct charter flights do happen, but with regular airlines one stopover is standard. There’s really nothing to worry about - it’s quite straightforward.
Thailand is a completely different world from Europe. If you’re looking for something totally different from the usual Mediterranean sailing weeks, this is the place.
Navagio Bay is one of those places everyone has heard of, but only when you arrive there on your own yacht do you truly understand what all the hype is about. It’s probably one of the most unreal shades of blue you can see in Europe.
The best time to visit is between June and September.

If you want to start as close as possible, Zakynthos is the obvious choice, although the number of available yachts there is limited.
It’s much easier to find a yacht in Lefkada or Preveza. The downside is a longer route to the bay itself, so if you don’t want to spend the entire day tacking, it’s worth asking the charter company in advance whether night sailing is allowed.
Unfortunately, direct scheduled flights (excluding charters) to Zakynthos are only available from Warsaw.
The world is full of beautiful bays you could argue about endlessly. But these three appear in most rankings and they truly are breathtaking, especially when seen from the deck of your own yacht.
And if you’re dreaming of a cruise exactly in these areas, we’ll help you take care of everything 😉
